I am Aylin, an illustrator based in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the face behind WeAreTheFolks. 

By day, I work as a European Union Project Manager, but my true passion has always been art and the feeling of storytelling through creation. 

 

Drawing has always been a big part of my life, starting as a hobby and growing into a creative journey that led me to start WeAreTheFolks, my very own illustration and design brand. I love bringing characters to paper, shaping them as I imagine, and giving them simple forms, ​

 

For me, illustration is about storytelling with just a single line, in the simplest and most direct way.​

​

I am working in a small home studio, where I bring my doodles to life with traditional media like watercolor, inks, markers, and colored pencils.

 

​​Every illustration is hand-drawn and based on my original watercolor paintings.

​

Each product in the shop is made-to-order, minimizing waste, carefully printed in my Atelier, and

sent worldwide with love.
