SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Do you ship internationally?

WeAreTheFolks ships all over the world! Please note, we cannot take any responsibility for fees or taxes your country may charge. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations that may apply to you.
What shipping methods are available?
​
We ship with Fedex, USPS, DHL and DPD. Shipping costs will be calculated at the checkout, and products will be delivered by local post services and couriers depending on your country and location.
How are your Art Prints posted?
​
Each product is packaged based on dimension requirements to ensure protection during shipment. A3+ Art prints and Canvas are shipped in kraft tube boxes with plastic end caps.
​
A5, A4 prints, Greeting cards and Stickers are packed in a cello wrap and posted in a thick cardboard envelope that will add extra protection during shipment.
​
Art Calendars will be shipped in hard boxes for the protection.
When will I get my order?
Once your order is placed, we ship it within a period of 5 working days. All orders are shipped in registered mail – with tracking number. Make sure that your address is correct before checking out! Normally delivery takes about 5 to 8 business days to USA, 6 to 10 days to Canada, 5 to 10 business days to EU and 10 to 2 working days to the rest of the world. This may vary during particularly busy seasons eg. Christmas.
To ensure the lead times can be met, you should check that you have provided complete and accurate information concerning the delivery address (such as road number, building number, access codes, names and/or phone numbers, etc.). Inaccurate information may result in longer delivery times or re-shipments.
Where will my order ship from?
We work with an on-demand order high quality print company and all orders are shipped from either EU or USA depending on the shipping address.
Can I return a product or get a refund or exchange?
Our top priority is making sure that you're happy with your print when it arrives and for many years to come. However, for any reason you are not satisfied, we accept returns up to 10 days after you have received your item. To request a return, contact hello@wearethefolks.com with the details of your order and the reason for requesting a return.

A full refund of the purchase price will be made upon receiving the unused merchandise in the same condition in which it was shipped. Please note that the shipping costs are non-refundable.

if you wish to exchange your item, you are responsible for all return shipping charges (with tracking code), including the shipping costs of a replacement item. Unless WeAreTheFolks Shop is at fault.

Please note that all of our products are very clearly described on the site and are all as they are shown in our images. Please be careful to read each product description and please refer to the size guide for we have one for every item listed on our store, in the product description section. We are not responsible for any information that was provided when ordering such as a wrong address. If there is a problem with your order or it appears to be damaged in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us via email and we will sort it all out for you.

My item arrived damaged. What do I do?
Please don’t panic, things can happen. If your items did not arrive in perfect condition then, please let me say how truly sorry we are about this. To help us resolve this for you quickly, please contact us at hello@wearethefolks.com within 48 hours of receiving your package with a clear picture of the damaged product including the description of the damage, your order number, and any other details you may have about your order. We’ll get back to you with a resolution as soon as possible!
What if my purchase doesn't arrive?
It is unlikely that your product will not arrive safely with you, but if that does happen, please help us out by doing the following before getting in touch with us:

Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address.

Ask your local post office if they have your package.

Stop by your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them.
Pro tip: Package theft is on the rise— If you're expecting a home delivery and you know you won't be home to accept it, use an address where you know you'll be!
If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn't left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, get in touch with us at hello@wearethefolks.com with your order number.
If you did find a mistake in your delivery address, we can send you a replacement order, but shipping will be at your own cost.
This is a small, independently-run business, so please be patient with us. We will always do our best to ensure your order arrives safely and within good time.

How do I cancel an order?
You can always cancel your order and have it refunded before your item has shipped. Please contact hello@wearethefolks.com as soon as possible if you would like to make any changes or cancellations of your order. Please note that any changes must be sent before your order is dispatched. Your order is shipped when you have received the shipping confirmation e-mail.

DESIGN & CONCEPT
Who is behind WeAreTheFolks?
WeAreTheFolks is a one-woman small business based in Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It was started by Aylin Alpagot in 2019 as a way of her applying her designs and creating Art prints and products.
What is the main inspiration for your art?

My main inspiration is people. I love drawing iconic portraits, cultural icons and influencers of today and years past of today and I enjoy bringing these characters to my paper, turn into the way that I want to be and giving them each a simple expression
How do you do your illustrations?
All my illustrations are hand-drawn and based on my original watercolor paintings or pencil drawings and my designs are all created in my little art studio in Luxembourg.
Do you commissions for professional projects?

Yes, I am open to taking commissions for projects in advertising and merchandising. Email us your request at hello@wearethefolks.com.

Do you produce a custom print for me with a character I choose?

I do not offer customized Art Prints at the moment. You can still email me your request at hello@wearethefolks.com, and I'd be happy to discuss it with you.
​Can I share your artwork?

Yes, as long as you tag me on @wearethefolks or something along the lines of "artwork by Aylin Alpagot" I'd love for you to share my work!
Can I put your work on any products?
​
My work may not be used for commercial use, or be changed, adjusted or built upon. All WeAreTheFolks artwork in all forms is copyright protected.
Can I use your art as a tattoo?
​
If interested in using one of my pre-existing designs as a tattoo please ask my permission first by either contacting me via the Contact Form on this site, one of my various social media accounts, or by emailing me at hello@wearethefolks.com
Upon completion of the tattoo please credit me anywhere that you post a photo of the tattoo online by either tagging one of my social media accounts, my website or copyrights such as ©WeAreTheFolks.

And of course I love seeing photos of my art as tattoos so please send those to me as well!
ART STORE & PRODUCTS
How are your prints created?
​
All Art Prints are printed on a Museum-quality thick and durable matte art paper. Each print is giclée-printed on archival, acid-free paper. All framed prints are delivered ready for hanging directly on your walls. Canvas Prints have Acid-free, PH neutral, poly-cotton base and are printed on textured and fade-resistant canvas (OBA-Free).
Please be aware that the print colors may appear slightly different when printed to what you seen on your screen.
What frames are available?
We currently only offer two colors of Alder, semi-hardwood frames, black or white from renewable forests.
What sizes are the prints?
​
Art Prints (framed or unframed) are supplied in 8"X10", 10"X10", 12"X12", 12"X16", 14"X14", 12"X18", 16"X16", 16"X20", 18"X18",18"X24", 24"X36"
If you want your Art prints framed with Mat option, sizes are A4 - 21X30, 30X40, 50X70 and 61X91cm.
Canvas prints are supplied in 12"X12", 12"X16", 16"X16", 16"X20", 18"X24", and 24"X36"

Why aren't all the designs available in every size?
There can be several reasons why a particular design is not offered in every size. It may be for technical printing reasons or because the design doesn't work in certain sizes.

How do I stock the WATF’s products in my store?
The WeAreTheFolks would love to be in your shop! If you would like to stock The WATF products or if you have any questions please email here. If possible, please include a link and some information about your shop or gallery.

Do you sell other products?

We sell Art prints, postcards and notebooks for now, but we're hoping to expand our product range soon!
